Texas Roadhouse Knoxville Information

Walking into Texas Roadhouse Knoxville at 11001 Turkey Dr in Knoxville, TN feels like stepping into a lively, no-frills steakhouse where the energy is just as memorable as the food. The location is easy to find, especially if you’re already familiar with the Turkey Creek shopping area, and there’s usually a steady crowd, which says a lot about its popularity among locals and travelers alike.

The atmosphere leans heavily into that classic Texas Roadhouse vibe-country music humming in the background, servers moving quickly between tables, and the unmistakable aroma of grilled steaks filling the air. It’s not the place for a quiet, intimate dinner, but if you’re looking for a fun, casual night out, it hits the mark. From what I’ve seen and experienced, the staff tends to be upbeat and attentive, even when the restaurant is packed, which is often during peak hours.

The menu is where this place really shines. It’s built around hearty American favorites, with steaks taking center stage. Cuts like the ribeye and sirloin are consistently well-cooked, with a good char on the outside and juicy interiors. The hand-cut steaks are a big part of the brand’s reputation, and in this Knoxville location, they live up to expectations. Beyond steaks, the fall-off-the-bone ribs and country fried chicken are solid options, especially if you’re dining with a group that wants variety.

One detail that stands out is the complimentary fresh-baked bread with cinnamon butter. It’s one of those small touches that keeps people coming back, and it’s hard not to overindulge before your main course arrives. Sides like loaded baked potatoes, seasoned rice, and green beans round out the meal nicely, offering something for both comfort food lovers and those wanting lighter options.

Reviews from regulars often highlight the consistency of the food and the welcoming service. While wait times can get long on weekends, especially without a reservation or call-ahead seating, the overall experience tends to justify the wait. Prices are reasonable considering portion sizes and quality, which makes it a dependable choice for families, date nights, or even casual celebrations.

There may be occasional variability depending on how busy the kitchen is, something common in high-traffic chain restaurants, but overall, the Knoxville location maintains a solid reputation. It delivers exactly what people expect from Texas Roadhouse: generous portions, bold flavors, and a lively dining experience that feels both familiar and satisfying.

What People's Say About Place

Emma in turkey creek was the absolute best waitress we’ve ever had!!! She was so sweet and has the best attitude and took such great care of us. Our food was so good and cooked perfectly. I will ask for Emma every time we come from now on!!!

Best Steak we had in a long time in a restaurant. The service was surprisingly quick and friendly. The food came out hot and tasty and the beer was nice and cold. The picture only shows the last byte and the filet was actually a decent size.It was an amazing restaurant experience considering the it was on of the busiest Saturdays I have seen in Turkey Creek. We will be back soon

Amazing food! Everything was delicious! We got steaks and tater skins. Taters n salads

Texas Roadhouse never disappoints, and this visit was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. The food was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The steak was tender, juicy, and seasoned just right, and the chicken Caesar salad was crisp, hearty, and a great lighter option while still being filling. We also had seafood, and it was cooked perfectly—not overdone at all, with great flavor. Everything came out hot and exactly the way it should, and the portions were generous as always. The service was excellent—friendly, attentive, and fast without making us feel rushed. And let’s talk about the cocktails… they were strong, refreshing, and made well, which made the whole meal even better. Great atmosphere, great energy, and overall just a fun place to eat whether you’re out with family or having a night out. If you’re craving a solid meal with great drinks and a lively vibe, Texas Roadhouse is always a win. We’ll definitely be back!

This was my first time at this particular location, and everything was excellent from the start. The hostess made me feel genuinely welcome, and since I was dining solo during a very busy time, I took a seat at the bar. My server, Chelsee, was outstanding — attentive, personable, and consistently checking in to make sure everything was just right. I felt well taken care of throughout the entire meal. The food was great, and my steak was cooked perfectly. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I will definitely be back.

They actually season their steaks here. Not just a slab of meat like most restaurants offer.

Texas Roadhouse: A True All-American Gem in Knoxville If you’re craving classic American flavors, Texas Roadhouse delivers. From the moment you walk in, the aroma of perfectly seasoned dishes fills the air, setting the stage for a comforting dining experience. To start, we ordered the fried pickles, a crispy and tangy delight that pairs beautifully with any beverage. Speaking of drinks, the menu here is extensive, offering something for every palate. While I was tempted to try a few of their creative cocktails, I opted for a refreshing Sprite, leaving more room to savor the main course. For the entrée, I went with the bacon burger, a hearty masterpiece that truly impressed. The seasoning was spot-on, enhancing the smoky richness of the bacon without overpowering the juicy beef. It was a generous portion, too – big enough that you might just have leftovers to take home. Texas Roadhouse is a fantastic choice for anyone in Knoxville looking for well-prepared, classic American dishes in a lively, welcoming atmosphere.

We ordered to go our normal things prime rib medium rare with fresh horseradish not some weird sauce a baked sweet potato with all the junk on the side and this time we got a salad instead of green beans We don't care for their green beans. Once we got to the car with the order there was no horseradish the prime rib was well not medium rare and the salad was fine but there could have been more to it than what was there. I did try to call to report the problems and they were too busy to deal with it at that point the manager was too busy to take the phone and when I call back the next day I was told that it was too late to deal with that so, normally we are extremely happy with them however this time not so much. We also had asked them that that medium rare piece 16 oz prime rib be a leaner less fatty cut. It was not at all. But like I said normally we're absolutely thrilled with them they almost always get everything correct just not this time. So that kind of sucks. Will we go back of course and hopefully it will be what we're used to there with them. Sorry but just saying truth.
